(ROCKWALL, TX – March 29, 2015) Those looking to drop off new or gently used clothing for One Man’s Treasure Clothes Closet now have an alternate and even more convenient collection site where they can do just that: right at the doorstep of Toyota of Rockwall.

One Man’s Treasure recently partnered with Toyota of Rockwall in order to provide the public with another site to drop off clothing for the clothes closet’s male clients. According to Toyota of Rockwall General Manager Mike Kevlin, the public will now be able to drop off clothing over the extended business hours – Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. – at the dealership located at 1250 East Interstate 30, near Shenaniganz in Rockwall.

Executive Director for One Man’s Treasure Annette Jenkins said the partnership illustrates several ways in which the community benefits when business and charity come together.

“As we reach ten years of service, we are grateful for the many ways Toyota of Rockwall has supported our ministry!” Jenkins said. “Both in their financial contribution to special events and providing opportunities to meet our clothing needs through last fall’s coat drive and this new clothing initiative, they have exemplified the best of what a partnership can be between the business community and a charitable organization.  We look forward to continuing to work alongside Toyota of Rockwall in our ministry to an often overlooked segment of our community.”

One Man’s Treasure will distribute the clothing to indigent men located in the Dallas area and six surrounding counties who have recently been released from prison, for appropriate job interview attire and basic clothing needs. The clothes closet accepts any new or gently used men’s clothes: pants/jeans, long and short sleeved dress shirts, ties, polo shirts, t-shirts, sweaters, shorts, coats, and shoes (dress, casual, tennis).

“Providing a complete set of clothing to 800-900 men a year requires a large inventory of clothing and shoes, so each donation received is a blessing!” said One Man’s Treasure Clothing and Volunteer Coordinator Angel Thompson.

The organization has seen tremendous growth starting in 2012 and serves around 800-875 men annually. The clothes closet has a total of 187 volunteers, including 114 shepherds who deliver clothing directly to its clients. Volunteers donated over 31,000 hours, a real testament to their devotion and willingness to carry out the clothes closet’s mission of successfully helping to transition formerly incarcerated men into a positive role as productive members of society.
