Nominations for seniors being accepted
(ROCKWALL, TX – April 27, 2015) Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County is preparing for Older Americans Day, a time when communities across the country honor senior adults. A public celebration is set for 1 p.m. Friday, May 22 at the Rockwall County Library. This year’s theme is “Get into the ACT,” which recognizes how older adults are taking charge of their health, getting engaged in their communities and making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Each May, Rockwall County organizations, the five city Mayors, city government and individuals nominate several outstanding seniors to receive an award honoring the value that they contribute to our community. The public is welcome at the celebration.
