(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – April 27, 2015) With Election Day fast approaching and early voting underway, locals were provided a great opportunity to get to know the candidates for the upcoming county-wide elections during the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce’s Candidate Meet-and-Greet event held Tuesday, April 22 at the Rockwall County Library.
Those in attendance heard a brief background on each candidate for the Rockwall City Council, Rockwall ISD School Board of Trustees, Fate City Council and McClendon-Chisholm City Council, who were then given a few minutes to speak on their views about issues within the county, as well as to answer questions and address concerns from voters present at the event.
“The Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce was very excited that we were able to bring together this kind of a forum for all of our community and the county-wide elections for May 9,” said Rockwall Chamber President Dana Macalik. “This was a very informative opportunity to let the voters become more knowledgeable about each of the candidates.”
Early voting is underway! Hours for early voting are 8am-5pm today (April 27) through May 2, and 7am-7pm May 4 & 5.
