Rockwall County Sheriff honored with Ralph Hall Chairman’s Award

(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – April 12, 2015) Rockwall County Sheriff Harold Eavenson was recently presented the prestigious Ralph Hall Chairman’s Award at the annual Reagan Day Dinner.  This award is given to an individual who has given so much of his time through leadership, courage and vision to the Republican party and his county.

Sheriff Eavenson has served Rockwall County since 2001.  He will serve as President of the National Sheriff’s Association in 2017, becoming only the fifth sheriff fromTexasto serve as president.  He was one of 13 sheriffs selected to travel to Israel in February of 2006 to meet with and be briefed by senior command staff of the Israeli Police, military and private sector experts regarding terrorism and counter-terrorism measures.

He has been a member of the Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club for many years, serving as President in 2014.  He is also a member of the Rockwall Noon Rotary Club and has served on the Board of Directors of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

Tim Hartley, Rockwall County Republican Chairman, presented Sheriff Eavenson a United States flag that was flown over the US Capitol on March 11, 2015, at the request of Honorable John Ratcliffe, Member of Congress.
