(ROCKWALL, TX – April 24, 2015) Michael J. Manley, Music Director/Conductor for the Rockwall Philharmonic Orchestra, is inviting singers from all over the Rockwall area to come sing in a mass choir for “An American Celebration” Concert scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, June 28 in the worship center of First Baptist Church of Rockwall.
The Choir will sing four pieces in the RPO concert, including a special arrangement of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and Wilhousky”s “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” The RPO concert is free to the public and will honor Rockwall area First Responders and our Armed Forces, past and present.
The choir rehearsal schedule is as follows: Sunday, May 31, 1:30-2:15 and day of concert Sunday, June 28, 3:30-4:15 pm (choir only), 4:15-3:45 pm (with RPO), 4:45-5:30 pm (choir break with snack provided), with concert at 6 pm.
