(HEATH, TX – May 5, 2015) Come celebrate “opening day” of summer at the City of Heath’s Movies in the Park, Friday, June 5 in Towne Center Park.
It’s all about baseball and hometown spirit at this new event! Rookie of the Year will light up the giant 36′ screen at 9 p.m., but the action begins at 6:30 p.m. as some of Dallas’ favorite food trucks roll in with ballpark favorites. Enjoy an easy and festive dinner from Easy Sliders, Eat Jo Dawgs and Kona Ice.
Be sure to bring the kids’ baseball gloves and bats, because the experts with Big League Academy/Texas Sports will have fun skills and drills activities to test out. There will also be a huge inflatable Speed Pitch station, courtesy of Dr. J. Scott Quinby/North Texas Orthopaedic Specialists.
Plan to be a part of the community cheer for our Heath Hawks Baseball Team at 7:15 p.m. We’ll video it so Heath Hawks Nation goes viral. Clackers, noise makers and posters are encouraged! Family-friendly music will keep the spirit going until show time.
Whether your gang is celebrating the last day of school, or you want to try a different kind of night out on the town, this is the place to be on June 5! Activities and movie are free. Just bring spending money for the food trucks, your lawn chairs and blankets. Picnics and small coolers are also welcome.
