(ROCKWALL, TX – May 6, 2015) Rockwall Mayor Jim Pruitt participated in a panel discussion with other area mayors this morning at the Dallas Athletic Club. He was joined by Garland Mayor Douglas Athas, Mesquite Mayor John Monoco, Rowlett Mayor Todd Gottel, and Sunnyvale Mayor Jim Phaup.
The panel, entitled “Mayor’s Forum – What’s Going on in Your City,” was hosted by the Dallas Metro East Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. Mayors discussed economic development, transportation, and quality of life issues in front of the substantial crowd.
“I was pleased to speak to such a large group of realtors about the benefits of living in Rockwall,” said Mayor Pruitt. “I am so proud to be the mayor of such a thriving and growing community. I enjoyed talking about our low taxes, great schools, the new live entertainment venues, and the downtown project. I also appreciated the networking opportunity with my neighbor mayors on important issues such as transportation, water and infrastructure. The realtors had a lot of questions afterwards about our great city.”
