Car, Truck & Cycle Show added to lineup
(ROCKWALL, TX – May 12, 2015) The 2nd Annual Rockwall Country Fair will return Saturday, May 30 with a new location, new hours and FREE admission.
Join the Rockwall Soroptimist from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for a fun filled day on the land at the corner of T.L.Townsend Dr. and the Interstate 30 Service Road, behind the Rockwall County Courthouse (1111 E. Yellow Jacket Lane). Enjoy the music of Angie Landers, our first Rockwall Idol, the Behind the Wall Blues Band, and the 205 South Band.
Tents, pennants and blackboard signs will be surrounded by a Kid Zone featuring a zip line, super slide, Ferris wheel, swinging ship, bounce house, kiddie helicopters, circle swings, a train and more. Kids can ride and play all day wearing a purchased arm band from the red and white ticket booth, or turn in tickets to play vintage games sponsored by local nonprofits.
Vendors and food trucks will join the “Country Store” and the “Watering Hole.” Everyone will get to enjoy the car, truck and cycle show in the courthouse parking lot. This is the 10th year for the Soroptimist’s WomenAid fundraiser and this year’s Fair proceeds will allow the group to continue helping women and children in the community.
