(ROCKWALL, TX – May 7, 2015) Rockwall High School Head Football Coach Rodney Webb and the Rockwall Yellowjacket Football Team are proud to announce their third annual spring food drive for Rockwall County Helping Hands. In conjunction with spring practice and culminating with Spring Swarm on Wednesday, May 20, the football boys will strive to fill the shelves at Helping Hands.
Yellowjacket football players will be going door-to-door in the Rockwall attendance zone on Friday, May 15 collecting canned goods and boxed food donations. Helping Hands is in need of all canned and boxed food goods. They would be especially appreciative of donations that include soup, canned fruit, canned meat, rice, boxed pasta, toilet paper and bar soap.
In addition, canned goods will be collected at the gate of the Spring Game on May 20. The JV game starts at 6:00 pm and the Varsity game starts at 7:15 pm. Admission to Spring Swarm is free with the donation of two canned goods per person, or one can pay admission of $2 per person. All admission proceeds will be donated directly to Rockwall County Helping Hands.
Helping Hands provides valuable services to the community. The football players are honored to be a member of the Helping Hands team!
