Amber Carrington to play homecoming concert July 19

(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – June 14, 2015) Amber Carrington is coming to Southern Junction Nightclub & Steakhouse Sunday, July 19.

After her success on the popular TV show The Voice, Rockwall local Amber Carrington has continued to pursue a vocal career in Nashville, TN for the past several years. But this summer, she will return for one weekend to perform in a Homecoming Concert.

Southern Junction employee Kelly Archibald said Carrington was planning on visiting town for a friend’s wedding and had an opening in her schedule to do a little performing as well.

“The concert is an opportunity for Amber to present new music she has been writing to her local fan base,” Archibald said. “Southern Junction offered to have a Sunday show so that she could share her music with her hometown community. “

According to Archibald, the show will begin at 6:30 with Heather Little and Carrington will go on at 8:00. Her concert is scheduled to last approximately two hours.

“Amber will be performing old favorites such as Jolene and Tennessee Whiskey, along with originals Men are like Trains, Don’t Mind if I Do, and Gypsy Boots,” Archibald said.

Archibald said the Southern Junction staff is very enthusiastic about Carrington’s homecoming performance.

“The Southern Junction staff and I are excited about having Amber perform for us,” Archibald said. “We are huge fans. She has an amazing voice and tremendous talent.”
