(ROCKWALL, TX – June 1, 2015) Artist Joe Cesario will be featured for one night only, 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 27 at the Uptown Downtown Art Gallery and Studio located at 301 N. San Jacinto in Downtown Rockwall. The community is welcome at a wine and appetizer reception, as 30 of Cesario’s paintings will be on display and available for purchase.
Cesario lives in San Tan Valley, Arizona, and this will be his first time exhibiting in Texas. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. He then spent 38 years as a full time art instructor in the Chicago Public Schools. During those years as an art teacher, he produced children and adult art shows in Chicago, IL.
Cesario has painted numerous murals and portraits for both commercial and private collections – one of which is a three panel Renaissance style mural on display in a private residence in Florida. As a professional artist he has had his work displayed all over the country, including Illinois, Nevada, California, Indiana and Arizona.
Upon retirement, Cesario has focused his art on larger portraits and currently has a few of his pieces of famous musicians displayed at Legends In Concert in Myrtle Beach, SC.
“Since I can remember, art has always been my main passion. I was lucky enough to have taught art to elementary through high school students and continued to enjoy creating art myself. Since my retirement six years ago, art has become my full time profession with the main emphasis in painting. I am happy to have the time to create art on a daily basis while enjoying life in the beautiful Southwest Desert,” Cesario said.
