(ROCKWALL, TX – June 2, 2015) Rockwall Mayor Jim Pruitt and City Council members took the Oath of Office during the City Council meeting on Monday, June 1.
David White (Place 1) and Scott Milder (Place 5) were re-elected during the Saturday, May 9th election to serve an additional two-year term on the Rockwall City Council. Voters also elected John Hohenshelt to continue serving in Place 2, filling a one-year, unexpired term. In addition, Kevin Fowler was newly elected to City Council in Place 3 to serve a two-year term. Eight (8) ballot propositions were also approved by voters, thereby modifying certain language to the City’s Charter.

Judge Pruitt received his Juris Doctorate degree from Baylor Law School in 1984, and was elected to the city council in 2013. When his wife, Kenda Culpepper, was elected as Rockwall County District Attorney in 2008, he created the Pruitt Law Firm which practices in the areas of mediation, family law and intellectual property law.

David was elected to the city council in 2011 and serves on the Rockwall County GOP Executive Committee as Treasurer and Precinct Chair, as well as the Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club as President. David also serves on the board of Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County.

John served seven years on the Board of the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation — including one year as chairman — prior to joining the city council in 2014.

Kevin has lived in Rockwall since 2000 where he has played an active role in many leadership positions on a number of boards, including the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation, Building Better Roads Bond Committee, Rockwall Business and Education Committee, and the Rockwall Rotary Club.

Scott was elected to the council in 2013, and his primary area of responsibility involves assisting school leaders with the facilitation of community-driven bond election planning public relations, and election campaign services.
