Rowlett Chamber welcomes Lakeside AMBUCS

ROWLETT,TX. (June 29, 2015) The Rowlett Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed its newest member, Lakeside AMBUCS, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Lakeside AMBUCS offices at Nestegg Retirement Services where this photo was taken.

Created in 1922, AMBUCS is a non-profit service organization consisting of a diverse group of men and women who are dedicated to creating mobility and independence for people with disabilities.  Lakeside Ambucs members are from the Lake Ray Hubbard area. Their caring group of volunteers go to great lengths to ensure that every child has the opportunity to play and grow.  And they haven’t forgotten those who serve. Ambucs now provides Amtrykes for wounded Vets!

They also have a Christmas program where we work with the area Elementary schools and provide Christmas to 4-5 needy families, including toys and clothes for the kiddos, all the fixins for Christmas dinner and even something for the parents to help them through the troubling times.

They have meetings at Cotton Patch in Rockwall, the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month and can also be found on Facebook and at www.lakesideambucs.org for more information.
