(ROCKWALL, TX – August 13, 2015) On Friday, August 14, Rockwall ISD’s annual New Teacher and Employee Breakfast, sponsored by the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held for ALL new employees at Rockwall High School. One hundred and thirty six new employees will be treated to breakfast, new school supplies for their students and door prizes.
The district is excited to announce a new initiative at this year’s New Employee Breakfast thanks to our friends at Kroger. When new employees arrive to the breakfast, they will find a Rockwall ISD bus stuffed with new school supplies for the 2015-2016 school year!
Kroger of Rockwall teamed up with the Rockwall ISD community to help collect and donate school supplies for the 2015-2016 school year. Community members were asked to make donations in the months leading up to the first day of school. The donations will be delivered to Rockwall High School for Friday’s event.
Last year, with the help of community members, Kroger raised more than $11,000 worth of school supplies. This year, Kroger anticipates to raise even more. The last day to donate to Kroger of Rockwall is Tuesday, August 18.
New teachers at the breakfast will receive the brand new school supplies to help their students during the year. The remaining school supplies will be delivered to all 19 campuses for use throughout the district.
Co-hosted with the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, the new employee breakfast is an opportunity for the community to support new teachers. Rockwall ISD thanks Kroger of Rockwall, Waffle House of Rockwall, the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce and our local Rockwall ISD community for their generosity to our students and staff.
