Bluebonnet planting at Phelps Lake Oct 3

(ROCKWALL, TX – September 15, 2015) The community is welcome as Friends of Raymond Cameron Lake Park host their second annual Texas Bluebonnet planting from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. They will meet at the fishing pier at Phelps Lake.

Hear the story of the Legend of the Bluebonnets as performed by members of the Rockwall Community Playhouse. Hannah Moore, a 6th grader at Nebbie Williams Elementary School, will perform the reading.  She will be accompanied by flute player, Landon Wynne, a 7th grader at Utley Middle School.

Join in on the fun as children are given small muslin bags of Bluebonnet seeds to scatter (on first come-first served basis while supplies last). After the seeds are scattered, the group will continue the Texas theme by heading to Downtown Rockwall for the Rib Rub Run & Roll which will feature good music and good barbecue.
