Family fun at McLendon-Chisholm Country Fest Oct 17

(MCLENDON-CHISHOLM, TX – Oct 5, 2015) Mayor Gary Moody welcomes the residents of McLendon-Chisholm and surrounding communities to the 2015 Country Fest from 1 to 6 p.m.  Saturday, October 17,  located at 1371 W. FM 550 in McLendon-Chisholm. This event will be free and open to the public.

“I’m excited to welcome folks from all over to our annual Country Fest,” stated McLendon-Chisholm Mayor Gary Moody. “We will have live music, hayrides, face-painting, pony rides and a large bounce house for the kids. The community is also encouraged to participate in our chili cook-off. We are also excited to announce that skydiver SFC Dana Bowman (ret), a former Army Golden Knight, will be making a special flag presentation jump during the opening ceremonies,” Moody went on to say.

Hundreds of residents from around the Rockwall County community are expected to attend this year’s event. Proceeds from silent auction at the event will benefit the McLendon-Chisholm Fire Department.
