(ROCKWALL, TX – October 25, 2015) Even though Halloween isn’t even here, it is time to start thinking about what float you are going to enter in the annual Kiwanis Christmas Parade.
This year the theme is, “A Picture Perfect Christmas,” although you may pick any theme for your float. Your float doesn’t even have to be a “float.” In year’s past participants have walked, danced, been in the back of a pick-up truck and have even ridden horses.
The parade will be held this year on Saturday, December 5th, starting at 9 AM. Entry fee for an individual or group float is $20 and $40 for a commercial float. This is the 46th year the Rockwall Kiwanis Club has produced the parade and all funds raised go towards the programs that directly help the children of Rockwall County.
Please visit the club website, rockwallkiwanis.org, for more information and to enter your float. The Kiwanis Club of Rockwall County is part of Kiwanis International, however all funds raised stay with the local club for their Food for Kids Program, Angel League, Terrific Kids Program and grants and scholarships.
The club meets each Tuesday at the Rockwall Wedding Chapel, from noon to 1 p.m. It is a small club that does a lot of good and invites and warmly welcomes visitors to their meetings.
