Sponsored by the Rockwall Art League, Nancy Medina draws artists from across Texas and beyond
(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct 4, 2015) Once again artists traveled long distances for a Rockwall-based art workshop with Nancy Medina, sponsored by the Rockwall Art League.
The three day workshop was held at Harry Myers Community Center from Sept 26-28. Generally, Nancy tries to limit her workshop classes to 15 artists, but the demand was so great that she admitted 17 this time to accommodate her waiting list.
It is just amazing, as it is every year; artists traveled from College Station, Katy, Grand Prairie, five from Tyler, Cherokee, OK., Ida Belle, OK., Boyd, Greenvillle, Ft. Worth, Denton, Seattle, WA., Spring, and Rockwall/Rowlett. The interest and participation in all workshops is wonderful for the art reputation of Rockwall.

Nancy’s motto is to put a little joy in your brush and learn to paint flowers in brilliant colors. She was named one of the best floral and botanical artists by American Art Collector Magazine. Nancy is an instructor for the Dallas Arboretum whose paintings are collected around the world.
Nancy shared all her favorite tips for creating brilliant color on a transparent background, and methods for making flowers look authentic and beautiful using a loose, colorful approach to flower painting. Art students always comment that she makes flower painting fun and contagious.
She is already scheduling to return to Rockwall in 2016 so check the Rockwall Art League website for complete information. You can contact Nancy directly at nancymedina.com for information on her other workshops, classes and her wonderful European painting vacations.
After November 9 and 10 you will hear about another wonderful workshop. Cecy Turner will be returning to do a two day workshop at the Fate Community Center. Cecy will be teaching her magical and award winning landscape painting methods in oils. Her class is full with a waiting list.
