Rockwall teen with autism discovers mistake in textbook, prompting reprints

(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct 7, 2015) Rockwall High School student Logan Tharp, 15, recently made a discovery of significant proportions when he found an error in his Pre-AP Geometry textbook – an error which compromised the entire lesson plan. Thanks to Logan’s eye-opening find, RHS will now receive new, re-printed Pre-AP Geometry textbooks free of charge!

The president of the textbook company sent a certificate of thanks to Logan – who has autism. The certificate was presented to him at the end of his first period Math class by RHS Principal Dr. Courtney Gober on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

According to his mother Sheri and her Facebook post of the great news, the error that Logan found ended up being a rather significant one because “it compromised the TEK that was supposed to be taught for the lesson.”

Congratulations Logan on your excellent find!
