(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov 16, 2015) Congressman John Ratcliffe has announced that Congressman Trey Gowdy (SC-4) will be the keynote speaker at the Rockwall County Republican Party’s 2016 Reagan Day Dinner on Friday February 26th, 2016.
“Trey is a conservative leader in the House of Representatives who has defended conservative ideals as well as anyone in Congress,” Ratcliffe said. “I have had the privilege of working with Trey on the House Judiciary Committee, and I am honored that he accepted my invitation to come to Rockwall County in February for this very exciting event.”
“We are very excited to host Congressman Gowdy in Rockwall County,” Rockwall County Republican Party Chairman Tim Hartley said. “Congressman Gowdy will feel right at home and we are grateful to Congressman Ratcliffe for bringing a fellow conservative champion to our community.”
Gowdy represents South Carolina’s 4th district in Congress. Before his election to Congress, Gowdy was the solicitor for the state’s Seventh Judicial Circuit. He was a federal prosecutor from 1994 to 2000.
Ratcliffe was elected to Congress from Texas’ 4th district in 2014. He is a former United States Attorney for the East District of Texas. He and his family live in Heath.
