(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov 5, 2015) Enjoy a full slate of holiday happenings from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 5 in historic downtown Rockwall as all of your favorite community events are combined for a one-day family celebration.

Festivities begin at 9 a.m. with the annual Kiwanis Christmas parade, followed by photos with Santa from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Historic Courthouse.

From 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., there will be strolling balloon artists and elves with giveaways, arts and crafts, games, train rides, photo booth, live entertainment, face painting, bounce houses, an old fashioned hot dog cart in the plaza, and a scavenger hunt at downtown shops.

The Rockwall County Historical Foundation encourages everyone to stop by the Museum at Harry Myers Park as well, where an old-time toy awaits young visitors.

Sweet treats are provided each year at the tree lighting by the Rockwall Women’s League. Photo by BRN Media.

Wrap-up the day with the tree lighting from 6 to 8 p.m. at City Hall, co-sponsored by Rockwall Women’s League.

RWL volunteers will pass out homemade cookies, and nostalgic horse drawn carriage rides will be available, too.
