(ROCKWALL, TX – Dec. 8, 2015) More than 275 people attended the 13th Annual Friends of the Rockwall County Library Christmas Luncheon on Tuesday, December 8, 2015.  Mild weather and additional downtown parking added to the enjoyment of the day.

Guests strolled the Lone Star Room of The Center at Rockwall CityPlace to view 32 tables decorated with seasonal themes.  Barbara Doudt, Vice-President of Production for the Rockwall Summer Musicals presented a program of Christmas music performed by Jason Bias, Keeli James, Rebecca Bias, and Russell Batchelor.

For many people, the Christmas Luncheon is the “don’t miss” event of the holiday season.  Table hosts start signing up a year in advance.  By the end of September there is usually a waiting list for seats.  If you are interested in hosting a table in 2016, contact Pat Calhoun, .

Friends meets six times a year and all meetings, with the exception of the Christmas Luncheon, are held in the Community Room of the Rockwall County Library.  The group works to promote the interest and welfare of the Library and profits from their various fundraising events supplement the County library budget, paying for special children’s programming, adult literacy programs, subscriptions and other items.
