Rockwall Art League sponsors art workshop with Cecy Turner

(ROCKWALL, TX – Dec. 21, 2015) Once again there was a waiting list for artist Cecy Turner’s Rockwall Workshop, painting vibrant landscapes in oil. It was sponsored by the Rockwall Art League at the Fate Community Center over a two day period in November.

Cecy began the first day by teaching how to make a composition work and how to begin by identifying the primary four  or five shapes.  Cecy usually tries to limit the class size to 15 but the waiting list was so long that she extended it to 17.  This was the fourth workshop that she has done in Rockwall and once again participants came long distances to participate.  Myrl came from Waco; Mary Ann and Frances came from near the Red River.  Other participants came from Frisco, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano and Richardson.

Cecy will return to Rockwall in 2016 to do the monthly meeting for the Rockwall Art League on January 27 at Harry Myers Community Center in Rockwall.  She will be doing an oil landscape demonstration and RAL is already receiving requests from artists to have her do another two-day workshop in 2016.
