(ROCKWALL,TX – Jan. 26, 2016) On Dec. 25, 2015 the neighboring community of Rowlett was hit by a devastating EF4 tornado leaving 1,100 homes uninhabitable and many businesses affected. Two Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront team members and several other Rowlett residents were affected and left without power for multiple days. Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront was fortunate enough to narrowly escape the tornado’s path.

The Rockwall ISD designated Jan. 29 as “Relief Day for Rowlett” where the community will aid the citizens of Rowlett. All of the front of the house Guest Service team will also be wearing the “Relief for Rowlett” t-shirts that the hotel has purchased as a sign of support for the community.

The total donation will be presented by the hotel on behalf of its team members, guests and ownership at halftime at the Rowlett High School basketball game on Feb. 2 against Rockwall High School.
