Rest Haven collecting Valentine’s for troops

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 28, 2016) Rest Haven Funeral Home is collecting Valentine’s Day cards to send to military troops serving overseas as part of AdoptaPlatoon’s Valentine’s Day 2016 Campaign.  The cards can be dropped off at Rest Haven’s Rockwall location through Wednesday, February 10th, and will be sent to a platoon deployed overseas from Texas.

“We want the troops who receive these Valentine’s Day messages from their fellow Texans to be encouraged by our deep appreciation for their service to the great state of Texas, and to our country,” Dewayne Cain, President and Founder of Rest Haven Funeral Homes, said.  “It is our hope that the cards and letters will raise their morale and put a smile on their faces!”

Rest Haven and AdoptaPlatoon ask that the cards and letters should include the sentiment, “We’re Proud Of  Our U.S. Troops!” and also include either a lollipop tied with a small red ribbon, or a box of the Valentine candy message hearts.

Rest Haven’s Rockwall office is located at 2500 State Highway 66 East and is open weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm; Saturdays 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.   For more information visit the website at RestHavenFuneral.com and click on About Us/Community Events, or you may call Sharon Satterwhite at 972-771-8641.
