Rock Ridge celebrates its Art-iversary with residents’ paintings

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 19, 2016) Rock Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care recognized the artistic works of its talented residents as it welcomed the Mayor, city council and community members during its second year “Art-iversary” celebration on Thursday, Jan. 14.

Rock Ridge – located at 720 Ralph Hall Parkway – honored resident and artist Bettye Davies for her amazing oil paintings, including one featured in the Legend Senior Living 2016 calendar titled “The Art of Living.”

Each year, Legend Senior Living selects the works of extraordinary artists residing in Legend Senior Living communities to showcase in its calendar. Davies’ untitled painting was selected for the month of October in this year’s issue.

The original founding members of Rock Ridge were also recognized during the commemorative event: Frank and Elaine Poole, Twila Reed Hazel Cagel, Millie Dobbs and Francis Wynn. The works of other artistic residents were also displayed, and guests were treated to delicious hors d’ oeuvres and an assortment of pies and flavored coffees during the event.
