Rockwall firefighters respond quickly to contain fire at local business

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 28, 2016) The Rockwall Fire Department responded to a structure fire at an area business in the evening of January 27. The call came in just after 6 p.m. last night, employees at a local car dealership reported a fire had started inside their paint and body shop.

Shortly after arriving on scene at Lakeside Chevrolet, located at 2005 South Goliad Street, firefighters worked quickly, and successfully contained the blaze in the building’s paint booth. They fully extinguished the fire a short time later. The remainder of the building did suffer some smoke and water damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
