Texas Association of Realtors to back Justin Holland for House District 33

(Jan. 7, 2016) The Texas Association of Realtors announced its decision to support Justin Holland, a Rockwall County Realtor, for House District 33.

In making the announcement, 2016 Texas Association of Realtors Chairman Leslie Rouda Smith said, “After an extensive interview with all candidates, we were impressed with Mr. Holland’s command of the complex issues facing our great state. We also saw a strong commitment to the conservative principles that have made Texas a beacon of personal liberty and economic growth.”

Rouda Smith also noted Holland’s experience on the Heath City Council, saying, “Mr. Holland’s proven record of conservative leadership make him the best choice for the taxpayers of HD 33. We also appreciate his commonsense approach to governing.”

“We’re proud to support Mr. Holland’s campaign, and you can expect Texas Realtors to be a tenacious grassroots force in this race,” Rouda Smith concluded.

Texas Realtors stand up for private-property rights by supporting conservative efforts to enhance the lives of Texas property owners. These efforts have included support for property-tax relief and prohibiting sales taxes on real estate in 2015, passing consumer protections against unscrupulous property-tax lenders in 2013, eliminating most private transfer fees on real estate transactions in 2011 and enacting significant pro-consumer reform to the property appraisal system in 2009.

In addition to Texas Association of Realtors, Mr. Holland has been endorsed by AGC Texas Building Branch, the MetroTex Association of Realtors, the Collin County Association of Realtors, Rockwall Police Officers Association, Heath Police and Fire Association, Texas State Farm Agents PAC and the Farmers Employee and Agents PAC.
