TxDOT to shut down Interstate-30 in Rockwall tonight

Traffic Update: Brief road closure planned for midnight at I-30 and Ridge Road, both directions.

(ROCKWALL, TX – Jan. 21, 2016) The Texas Department of Transportation has scheduled a road closure for midnight tonight in Rockwall. The shutdown will occur at Interstate-30 and FM-740 (Ridge Road) in both directions.

Weather permitting, crews will be working to string electrical cable across the highway, starting at 12 midnight for an estimated 30 minutes. TxDOT encourages motorists to use alternate routes during this time, as backups could occur.
