Rockwall Realtor Workshop deemed overwhelming success

Annual City-hosted event draws 150 area realtors.

(ROCKWALL, TX – Feb. 20, 2016) Often the first person newcomers meet here, realtors are key to the City’s marketing efforts. That’s why for the second year in a row, the City of Rockwall hosted a realtor workshop to educate, inform and empower area realtors with up-to-the minute information about the best the City has to offer. The response for the half-day event, held earlier this week, was overwhelmingly positive.

The seminar took place on Wednesday, February 17 at The Center, just south of Downtown Rockwall. In addition to area realtors, City employees, educators and local leaders were also in attendance. Rockwall partnered with North Texas realtor association, MetroTex, to help facilitate the event.

Presentations ranged from residential and commercial growth statistics, and Parks and Recreation programs, to economic development successes, and vital school district information. Among the day’s presenters were Rockwall Mayor Jim Pruitt, Mayor Pro-Tem Dennis Lewis, and Rockwall Independent School District Superintendent Jeff Bailey. Attendees were polled after the workshop, and a vast majority gave their approval for the information presented.
