(ROCKWALL, TX – Feb. 8, 2016) Kamryn Adams, a sixth grader from Billie Stevenson Elementary School, was recently recognized by the Rockwall Noon Rotary Club as a Rotary Student of Honor. She was presented with the award during a luncheon program last Thursday at Rotary Hall.
Stevenson Principal Mike Pitcher spoke about the busy week that Kamryn has had, which included leading a tour group at the school as part of the Franklin Covey’s Leader in Me program that many Rockwall ISD schools have adopted. Kamryn is also part of the student leadership on campus who co-founded Cub Buddies, a group that was formed to ensure the school is inclusive of its students with special needs. The group was recognized for leading diversity awareness during the Rockwall ISD MultiCultural Celebration.
Pitcher said that Kamryn was recommended as Rotary Student of Honor by her teachers because she is “an exceptional student, a leader among her peers. She volunteers in many activities and organizations; she strives to do her best in everything. She has a kind heart, gentle spirit and is a friend to everyone.”
He concluded by saying that Kamryn represents all the amazing and magnificent qualities of a Stevenson Cub.
Kamryn’s parents are Robert and Stephanie Adams.
