Rockwall Farmers Market opens May 7

Listed as one of the ‘Best Farmers Markets’ in the Dallas area

(ROCKWALL, TX – March 23, 2016) The Rockwall Farmers Market will open for the 2016 season on May 7, and continue 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through September 24 on the Historic Downtown Square.

Established in 2008 by the Friends of Downtown Rockwall, the Rockwall Farmers Market has been a Saturday morning staple, run by all volunteers with assistance from the City of Rockwall. Its mission is to establish a link between farmers and consumers, and to offer the community high quality agricultural goods from local growers and ranchers, as well as provide gourmet artisan foods. Having grown to more than 30 vendors, it has become one of the area’s most popular destinations for locals to purchase fresh produce and specialty foods such as grass-fed meats, fresh baked artisan breads, farm eggs, seafood, honey, jams, pasta, tamales and more.

The Rockwall Farmers Market also features live music from local talent, and is pet friendly. And when you visit Farmers Market, reserve a little extra time to visit the downtown shops and eateries, each offering its own unique flavor and appeal.
