Rowlett Pet Spotlights: Charley and Mr. C

(ROWLETT, TX – July 7, 2016) Charley (aka Eddie) is a seven-year-old Chihuahua mix. He is a beautiful boy! His coat is black with brown and fawn markings. Charley is a tiny little guy that was just so scared at the shelter that one of our volunteers has taken him home to foster him. She says he makes a great lap warmer and loves to be cuddled by his people. This cute little guy likes other dogs and gets along with all four of his foster doggie siblings.

Charley is heartworm positive and his heartworm treatment is being sponsored by Friends of Rowlett Animals. He has been receiving treatment while in foster care, and is doing very well and has put on weight. His coat is getting so shiny.

While Charley is enjoying his foster home, nothing would make him happier than to have a furr-ever home of his very own. He wants to be in your lap or right by your side. We are sure he will return your love triple fold. Please consider giving Charley his forever home.

Mr. C is a white American Pitbull Terrier mix. He is really a very pretty boy with a pink nose, although right now he is recovering from scratching his face up on a fence. He also has a burn on his head that shelter personnel suspects was from the tailpipe of a car. He is healing very nicely.

One of the Friends of Rowlett Animals volunteers has been working with Mr. C, and he is a quick learner. Since being in the shelter he has learned to sit, and he loves to be walked. He works well for treats and loves cheese of all kinds.

He is a very sweet boy, a happy guy whose tail is constantly wagging. He is good at being handled, will let you touch his paws and rub his ears, and gives lots of kisses. He is really a very happy boy. He likes other dogs and enjoys romping in the kennels with them. He does tend to become high energy when he meets a high energy dog, so if there are other dogs in the home, it might be best if they are calmer. This big friendly goof is going to make someone a great companion.

Mr C is heartworm positive. His heartworm treatment will be sponsored by Friends of Rowlett Animals.
