(ROCKWALL, TX – Aug. 16, 2016) Kathleen Mavencamp, President, Wendy Newman Santiago, President-Elect and Lee Scruggs, member of Altrusa International of Rockwall, donated 16 backpacks full of school supplies on behalf of the organization to Dorothy Burris, Board President of the Rainbow Room of Rockwall County.
The backpacks and supplies were donated by Altrusa Rockwall members during a social event that took place at San Jacinto Plaza in Rockwall several weeks ago.
The Rainbow Room exists as an emergency item resource center for children and adults who are being served by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services due to abuse/neglect or suspected abuse/neglect.
