(ROCKWALL, TX – Sept. 24, 2016) Rockwall-Heath High School Mighty Hawk Band member Dawson Ward won first chair trombone at the TMEA Region 25 All Region Jazz auditions at McKinney North High School this past Wednesday, September 21st.
Dawson also advanced to the TMEA Area recording audition which will be at McKinney North High School Wednesday, September 28th. The Area audition is the last stop on the road to becoming a member of the TMEA Texas All State Jazz Band. Dawson won a chair in the Texas All State Band last year and performed with the all star group last February at the TMEA Clinic and Conference.
The Region 25 Jazz Band will present their annual concert on November 19th at McKinney North HS at 5 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
