Royse City ISD earns multiple Distinction Awards from TEA

(ROYSE CITY, TX — Sept. 16, 2016) All Royse City ISD campuses received a rating of Met Standard by TEA based on student achievement on the most recent state assessments and in doing so, campuses become eligible to earn designation distinctions in seven possible areas. Royse City ISD is pleased to announce that 10 designation distinctions were awarded across the district, four of which were for outstanding performance in mathematics.

• HH Herndon Intermediate earned Academic Achievement in Math, Top 25% Student Progress, Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps and Postsecondary Readiness.
• Miss May Vernon Elementary earned Academic Achievement in Math, Top 25% Student Progress and Top 25% Closing Performance Gaps.
• WR Fort Elementary earned Academic Achievement in Math and Top 25% Student Progress.
• Ruth Cherry Intermediate earned Academic Achievement in Math.

Royse City ISD earned twice as many distinction designations in 2016 when compared to 2015. These are earned based on achievement performance indicators relative to a group of 40 comparable campuses.
