(ROCKWALL, TX – Sept. 21, 2016) Officer Curtis Bennett came in and read to students at Nebbie Williams Elementary School on Tuesday, September 20. He is a 23 year veteran of Texas police departments, with 13 years here in Rockwall. He has been the School Resource Officer (SRO) for Nebbie for the last two years and enjoys any time that he can come into the classroom and support the students and the teachers.
“Rockwall is a really good community to work in,” said Officer Bennett. “I cannot go anywhere in Rockwall and not have positive notes and messages left on my car or people stop me to talk.”
He has enjoyed his time in Rockwall, especially his assignments in the elementary campuses reading to students, talking to them, and even playing dodge ball.
