Rockwall Art League sees record number of entries in 2016 fall show

(ROCKWALL, TX — Oct. 17, 2016) The Rockwall Art League saw over 130 pieces of art entered for its annual Fine Arts Show this past weekend, the most entries ever in the contest’s 16-year history. Folks were invited to marvel at a wide selection of beautiful art and mingle with the artists at the awards and artist reception on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Rockwall Rotary building ( 408 S Goliad St.).

Jim Bryant, RAL president, said the event has gotten bigger each year as more and more artists wish to have their work on display at the popular show.

“We have seen dozens and dozens of talented artists join us and show their work,” Bryant said. “The Rockwall Art League wants to promote the visual arts in Rockwall, encourage our visual artists, and we want to bring more beautiful art to the community.”
