Real Estate Investor Bruce McNeilage forms Lone Star Quality Homes, LLC

Will build 100 to 150 homes in Eastern Metroplex of Dallas

Initial build of 39 homes to launch in January

(TERRELL, TX – Nov. 9, 2016) Real Estate investor Bruce W. McNeilage announced he is forming Lone Star Homes, LLC, and will begin building 39 single-family homes in Terrell, Forney, Rockwell, Heath and Garland, Texas, in the Eastern Metroplex of Dallas in January. McNeilage’s long-term goal is to build between 100 to 150 homes in the region.

The homes will include three-bedrooms and two-bathrooms and will be priced between $150,000 and $170,000.

McNeilage currently owns more than 100 single-family homes and multi-family rental properties in Nashville and Atlanta through a variety of partnerships including Kinloch Partners, LLC and Harpeth Development, LLC. This is his first venture in Texas. In a presentation last week at the Five Star Single-Family Rental Conference in Frisco, Texas, McNeilage said that metro Dallas is one of the strongest real estate markets in the country.

“One of the strengths of both Kinloch and Harpeth was our ability to identify real estate markets that were poised to take off,” McNeilage said. “We see some of the same fundamentals in Dallas as we did in Atlanta and Nashville five years ago. It is an excellent time to build and invest in this entire region.”

McNeilage said Dallas’ relatively affordable median sale price of just $129,700 and recent appreciation of 10 percent in 2016 as key indicators of the market’s potential.

McNeilage and his various partners have recently built out subdivisions in Acworth, Ga., and Loganville, Ga., and are currently finishing Solo East, a 121-unit condo project in Nashville, Tenn., that provided amenities such as stainless steel appliances and granite countertops that started at just $149,900. McNeilage specializes in developing affordable housing for young families and working level professionals such as teachers and police officers.

“Every community needs affordable, high-quality housing, and we’ve made it our mission to fill that niche,” McNeilage said. “We’ve not set a price for our homes in Terrell yet, but they will be high-quality homes and will be reasonably priced.”
