Watch out, Shark Tank!

(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov. 1, 2016) Lance Carter, a seventh grader at Williams Middle School, showed October 13th at the State Fair Of Texas in the Ag Mechanics show.  For the second year in a row, Lance took first place honors and received another blue ribbon for his efforts.

Last year’s project was an outdoor connect-four game board and this year he showed his talents by making a farmhouse table and benches. This year it took him about two weeks to complete the whole process from start to finish.  He has been a member of the Rockwall County 4-H for three years.

When asked what got him interested in the 4-H club Lance stated, “My mom was involved in FFA in high school and she also did cattle showings.  She’s what got me interested in 4-H club, and I look forward to being involved in FFA at the high school.”

Lance has even started his own business putting his talents to work for him.  His company is called Redneck Wood Projects and has been making wood products for about a year now.  He makes and sells Corn-Hole games and tables.  He’s sold several so far with more on order.  Who knows….we may just see him on Shark Tank in the future!
