Snowball Express on way to Rockwall to honor children of fallen military heroes

(ROCKWALL, TX – Dec. 9, 2016) We call them fallen heroes – men and women of the armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and the families they leave behind are changed forever. Now we have the opportunity to honor the heroes’ children, through the Snowball Express event.

For the second year, Snowball Express will return to Shenaniganz in Rockwall, where caring people line up to show their support. Residents are encouraged to come out Tuesday morning, December 13, at 9:30 a.m. to Shenaniganz, located at 1290 East Interstate 30. The children and their families are scheduled to arrive by bus that morning at approximately 10 a.m., and after a brief reception outside, head indoors to enjoy their time bowling, playing laser tag and tons of games at the entertainment complex.

Snowball Express started in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in 2006 with a mission to provide hope and new happy memories for children of fallen military heroes who’ve died on active duty since 9/11. American Airlines flies children from all over the world at no cost, for a four-day experience filled with fun activities, including sporting events, dances, amusement parks and more. The parents of the children participating in this event have said the Snowball Express experience has helped make their children feel special and bring about a positive change in their lives. People interested in participating are encouraged to bring American flags as well as welcome signs and posters to greet the children on Tuesday.
