(MCLENDON-CHISHOLM, TX – Feb. 19, 2017) Patrick Short announced at the McLendon-Chisholm City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, that he will not seek re-election for Place 3 of the McLendon-Chisholm City Council.
“Serving the city of McLendon-Chisholm these past eight years has been an honor and a privilege,” says Mr. Short, who was elected in 2009. “With the growth and demands of my law firm, I do not believe I could adequately serve the citizens of McLendon-Chisholm for two more years, if reelected.”
Patrick Short’s announcement comes shortly before the McLendon-Chisholm’s election-filing deadline on Friday, February 17.
“I want to make this announcement publicly in order to allow other citizens to seek election for Place 3, McLendon-Chisholm City Council. I am confident the city will continue to grow and the city council will serve with the best interests of the citizens in mind.”
