(HEATH, TX – May 11, 2017) Heath Hawks Community Athletics (HHCA) and Heath Hawks Youth Sports (HHYS) have joined together to form a single community football organization, Hawks Youth Sports (HYS), serving the Heath and Rockwall areas south of I-30. HYS is dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment with teams built from Amy Parks, Jones, Lyon, Pullen, Rochelle, Shannon and Springer elementary schools. HYS enjoys the support of the Heath Hawks Community Athletics (HHCA) cheer organization for an amazing game day experience for our players, families and fans.
Rockwall Youth Community Athletics (RYCA) also offers community football and cheer for the elementary schools north of I-30 including Cullins-Lake Pointe, Dobbs, Hartman, Hayes, Reinhardt, Stevenson and Williams. Both the Hawks and Jackets organizations are focused on teaching sportsmanship, fundamentals, teamwork, skills and knowledge that players will use throughout their lives. Each organization will offer flag football for kindergarten and 1st grade aged children with tackle offered for 2nd through 6th grade.
This year HYS and RYCA will be partnering with the Lake Ray Hubbard Football League (LRHFL) which fields teams from surrounding areas including Royse City, Sunnyvale, Rowlett and Terrell. By aligning with the LRHFL, HYS and RYCA players are ensured local practices and games played predominately at the Rockwall and Heath stadiums. In addition, HYS and RYSA teams will enjoy supporting their Hawks and Jackets by participating in the tunnel run proceeding high school home games at Wilkerson Sanders Stadium.
