(ROCKWALL, TX – July 1, 2017) Practice. It’s not the most fun word ever created and it’s definitely not a favorite activity of music students. But the Rockwall School of Music has helped to solve that age old problem by being approved as the only music studio in the greater Rockwall area to license the Musical Ladder System®.
The music teaching system is being used by selected music schools across the US and Canada to inspire music students to practice more and enhance their love for music.
Similar to karate belt tests, every 90 days or so students have a test with their private music instructor.
When they pass they receive really cool color wristbands with the name of the level they passed. They also receive a certificate and at some levels a trophy.
The system has been a great help to owner Russ Porter to help inspire his students. About the system he says: “When our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everyone wins.”
The Musical Ladder System® will also be a big hit with local music students and their parents as Rockwall School of Music will showcase pictures of students when they pass their achievement tests.
“My grandson has been taking guitar lessons for about four years at the Rockwall School of Music. Prior to attending RSM he had been receiving in-home lessons, but couldn’t read the music. Now his performance, knowledge and ability to read the music is phenomenal. The entire RSM Team adds great value to our community and are the reason we return each semester. The musical ladder is a great goal-setting system that can appeal to beginners and advanced players alike,” said parent Donna R.
