(ROCKWALL, TX – Sept. 23, 2017) On September 19th, the Jones Elementary Library sponsored Technology Night in the Jones Cafeteria.
The goal of the event was to promote the technology that Jones Elementary has available for teachers and students to utilize.
Families programmed robots including Ollie, Sphero, Parallax Scribbler, BeeBot, Codeapillar, and Robot Mouse. These robots are designed to teach the basics of coding to students of all ages.
Attendees made circuits with littleBits and used the new littleBits Code Kit to program their circuits into games like “Hot Potato of Doom” and “Tug of War”. Other options included Makey Makey, Hour of Code, Stop Motion – Clap Motion, Breadboards, and Osmos Coding.
