Rockwall County Elections Department receives Outstanding County Election Website award

(ROCKWALL COUNTY, TX – April 25, 2018) The League of Women Voters of Texas recently presented Rockwall County Elections Administrator Chris Lynch and staff of the Rockwall County Elections Department with the Outstanding County Election Website award, in recognition of their efforts in providing accurate and easily-accessible voter information on the county elections website – The website provides all the latest information on elections within Rockwall County, including election day schedules, sample ballots, election results, voter registration information, and much more.

The League of Women Voters of Texas, a nonpartisan nonprofit political organization, conducts studies evaluating the level of voter and election information provided online by official county websites in Texas. The organization is in its second year evaluating county websites.

“We are honored to be selected for this award,” Lynch said. “We work hard to maintain an accurate, user-friendly website to assist the voters of this county.”

“I would like to congratulate Chris Lynch and his staff for this recognition,” said Rockwall County Judge David Sweet. “The elections staff works to ensure that the election information is up to date and easy to understand on the website. Communication, user friendliness and transparency has been and will continue to be a priority for the Rockwall County Commissioner’s Court.”
