(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 18, 2018) Starting Thursday, November 1st through Monday, November 19th, all Rest Haven Funeral Home locations (Rockwall, Royse City and Rowlett) along with Pet Memories and The Flower Box will be collecting food items for local Rockwall charity, Mac & Cheese and Pancakes.
Eight-year-old Kaden Newton has been a fan of the local food pantry since he was four years old. But he noticed one little problem…they didn’t have any ‘kid-food” that he liked. So, he took matters into his own hands and created Mac & Cheese and Pancakes, a 501c3 to benefit hungry children in the Rockwall community.
As food donations are brought in, Rest Haven asks that everyone takes the time to reflect and write a note of gratitude on the “I’m Thankful For….” posters that will be at each drop off location.
All locations are open Monday – Friday, from 8am – 5 pm.
Submitted press release by Kathleen Evans, Rest Haven, for publication in Blue Ribbon News.
