(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 30, 2018) The Rockwall High School Orange Wave Band qualified for the UIL State Marching Contest after two spectacular performances in prelims and finals at the Area C Marching Contest.
The group will travel to San Antonio this Sunday and perform in prelims at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Monday, November 5 at 1:30 p.m.
Forty-one bands in Class 6A from all across Texas qualified for the State Contest and will compete to determine which groups will advance to finals. Twelve bands will be selected to perform in finals competition Tuesday, November 6, and the winner will be named the 2018 UIL 6A State Marching Champion.

Public Performance Before State Competition, Saturday, November 3
The Orange Wave Band will have a free, public performance this Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.
For RHS Band parents and family members unable to attend the UIL State Marching Contest in person, Rockwall ISD will be live streaming the Orange Wave Band’s performance in prelims at the Rockwall ISD Central Administration Building, 1050 Williams Street, Rockwall 75087, Monday, November 5 at 1:30 p.m.
Individuals may also purchase the live stream to view at home or work at https://box5tv.com.
