(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct. 8, 2018) Rockwall’s First Annual Army Scholarship Help Our Heroes Luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 7 at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront at The Harbor.
Proceeds from the luncheon will fund scholarships for sons and daughters of soldiers who have served in the United States Army as well as spousal scholarships for those with enlisted soldiers serving on active duty in the U.S. Army. Lieutenant Colonel US Army (retired) Allen West will be the featured speaker, along with Honorary Chair Major General Harold Gary Bunch, Assistant Deputy Commanding General for Reserve Affairs.
Lieutenant Colonel West served our nation from 1982-2004 and is also a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Among his achievements are the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. Major Bunch is also highly decorated, holding a Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Badge among others.
