(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov. 15, 2018) The members of the Aspasians are honored to serve foster families in the Rockwall community by putting together 50 baskets full of Thanksgiving dinner essentials that will be distributed by The Rainbow Room. These baskets will help feed 134 children and 128 adults this Thanksgiving.
Rockwall Rainbow Rooms is a resource solely for DFPS (Department of Family Protective Services) caseworkers, providing the necessary items needed from the moment a child is removed from a dangerous situation on a moment’s notice, to longer term need of those in Foster Care. They provide school clothing, backpacks and supplies. They there to help make the holidays more enjoyable by providing Easter Baskets, Thanksgiving meals and Christmas gifts.
Aspasians is a volunteer group of 35 women who live in Rockwall County that dedicate their time and talents to the service of others. Since 1972, the ladies of Aspasians host Aspasians Marketplace, which supports local businesses and raises funds for college scholarships.
They unite congenial young women throughout the community for the purpose of friendship and service to others. As an organization, they recognize and aid individuals in our community through philanthropic projects.
